3 Core Questions Readers Ask

Faizan from Quora asks:

How do I get people to trust my content online as a beginner?

When I read something online, I usually ask myself three things:

  1. Is this relevant to me?

  2. Is this actually true or useful?

  3. Does this person / business actually have experience with what they’re talking about?

It’s a lot easier to trust someone when the answer to all three is yes.

The reason trust is so hard to find is that most content is just people repeating what they’ve already heard elsewhere. It’s rare to find someone who has actually gone through a process, learned something the hard way, and then shared that experience.

If you’re just starting out, you don't need to act like an expert. Just find a specific problem and show how you’re solving it. When you show the work you’re doing, the right people will eventually find you.

I usually lose interest the moment someone tries to sell me an idea or a service when I can’t tell if they’ve actually done it themselves. If the experience isn't there, the advice usually feels a bit empty.
