A niche with the highest ad revenue?
This Q from Quora asks:
For someone starting a YouTube channel, what niche would potentially earn the most from ads, and why?
It’s pretty simple, actually: Ads are paid for by advertisers.
Therefore, the highest-earning niches are the ones where advertisers are willing to spend the most to reach a specific person.
Usually, this is an intersection of three things:
High-Intent Audiences (B2B): Businesses have much larger budgets than individual consumers. If your audience is looking to grow a company, advertisers will pay a premium to reach them.
High Margins/Low Fulfillment: If a product (like software or a digital course) costs almost nothing to deliver but sells for $1,000, the business can afford to spend $300 on ads just to get one customer.
High Competition: When dozens of companies are fighting for the same viewer, they have to outbid each other. The higher the bidding price for ads, the more that money goes to you.
While many niches fit this (SaaS, Real Estate, Insurance), there is one clear winner that meets all three: The Business & Finance niche (specifically "Make Money Online").
It is a niche where everyone is a business, the products are high-ticket, and the competition is fierce.
A word of caution, though: don't pick a niche only for the ad revenue.
Viewers can smell content made for commissions.
It’s hard to sustain a channel if you don't care about the topic.
Look for the intersection of what you know (your job, a life transformation, or a hobby) and those three economic factors above.
Don't let the paycheck be the only reason you write.
