How to get blog traffic if you have no audience?

Q from Quora: What is the fastest way to start getting organic traffic to a new blog in 2026 if you have no audience?

My site has pulled in 1,246 views and is already showing up in Google and being recommended by ChatGPT and it’s only 3 months old.

Reaching 1,000+ people through words you wrote a few months ago is a wild feeling.

It’s not "viral", but for a brand-new site, it’s proof that this approach works.

Here is exactly what I’ve been doing:

  1. Speak from authority. If you don't have authority, it’s hard for anyone to take you seriously. I make sure everything I write comes from my own personal experience, life changes, or my actual work credentials.

If it's an opinion piece, I always link it back to a real-life situation I’ve handled. Without that "I’ve been there" moment, readers and search engines don't really know why they should trust you.

  2. Focus on questions people are actually asking. I see so many brands using their blogs like a personal diary where they post about logo changes, office parties, or company updates.

The problem is, unless they know your company or has built up a brand, no one cares. They haven't built anything for their "cold audience" (the people landing on the site for the first time.)

To build trust with a stranger, you have to help them find an answer to a problem they have right now.

  3. Use social media to spark interest. I don't do anything too complicated here. I just find one strong point from a blog post, share a snippet of it on social media, and then put the link in my bio.

It’s just about grabbing attention with one good insight and showing people where they can find the rest of the story.

Three months of data isn't a huge sample size, but it’s a good start.

I’m looking forward to seeing where these numbers are after a full year of sticking to this.
