Unsure how to blog consistently?

Juhi from Quora asks:

How do you set a plan to write and publish your blog on a consistent basis?

The only way I stay consistent is by keeping things as simple as possible.

Here is the process I use to keep my blog going while working a full-time job:

  1. I keep a long list of questions ready to go. I spent about a week looking up what people in my niche are actually asking online. I crossed off anything I didn't feel comfortable answering or didn't know enough about. Now, when it's time to write, I never have to stare at a blank screen wondering what to talk about.

  2. I picked a schedule I can actually keep. Since I have a day job, I don't try to post every day. I stick to once a week, or even once every two weeks. It’s better to be slow and steady than to burn out in a month.

  3. I try to write for 30 minutes every morning. Some posts only take me 30 minutes to finish, while others take a couple of hours. By doing a little bit first thing in the morning, the work doesn't pile up.

I use a habit app to stay on track. Every time I finish my 30 minutes of writing, I check it off in the app. Seeing that "streak" build up is a great way to keep myself motivated.

The best part is that people have already asked hundreds of questions about content and ideas online, so I don't see myself running out of things to write about anytime soon!
