It’s going to replace some, but definitely not all.
Avatars have been around for a while now (*cough VTubers), so the concept isn't actually new. Whether they replace a person really depends on why you’re using them in the first place.
For many, the biggest hurdle to being an influencer is simply the camera. A lot of women I know find the process daunting because of the prep involved. Even just putting on light makeup can feel like a chore when you just want to share an idea.
With an avatar, that's a non-issue. You save hours of prep time and can get straight to the point of what you actually want to talk about.
Then there’s the confidence factor. Some people are great at coding, teaching, or explaining complex topics, but they freeze up when a lens is pointed at them. Avatars give these people a shield.
I don't think we're looking at a total replacement of humans. Instead, we’re going to see an increase in the number of creators.
AI avatars are opening the door for talented people who were previously too shy or too busy to show their faces.
